Though she doesn’t know it yet, this ability also creates a weak static-like aura of sorts that weakens the effect of other mutants’ powers where they come into contact with it.

Organization, dancing, slingshot skills

Family and Friends
Luana Wilson-Tiki(mother), Pilipo Tiki(father). Various people she has met in her life have become friends, but she never allowed anyone to get truly close to her after the break with her parents.

Complete Character Description
This particular femme stands at a height of five feet and five inches. Her skin, though naturally tanned from her Hawaiian ancestry, is further bronzed from the sun. Sprouting from her skull are long locks of straight coffee brown hair- often appearing to be almost black when not in direct light- that fall mid-back and form a widow’s peak at her hairline. Beneath the soft, thin arches of Lana’s brows are two almond shaped eyes with irises so dark they create the illusion of blending in with the pupil if one does not peer too closely in brighter lighting. Beneath a small, straight nose sit a pair of average lips that fit her face perfectly. Her smile is the sort that light up her face whether she flashes two rows of straight, pearly whites or not. High cheek bones accentuate her facial structure. The mutant has a fit, athletic figure weighing roughly one hundred and twenty-two pounds. A light scar lines her right arm, beneath the elbow. Another, deeper scar cuts across the back of her right shoulder.

Personality
Lana has always been a hard worker, from childhood. She would participate in odd jobs around the house and even around the neighborhood. This femme is great with people most of the time and it’s rare to find this one without a smile on her face. However she has a couple emotional issues, mainly keeping her anger under control which is very dangerous considering what her powers could do if she weren’t under control. Lana learned to channel her emotions into cleaning and organization, as well as various activities that work on her aim- such as the game of darts. She isn’t the greatest of leaders, preferring to allow someone else take the reins, but she isn’t a complete follower, either. Being a bit opinionated, she enjoys having her ideas heard even if they object to the ideas of those in charge. She believes that it’s better to take time to form a compromise than to blindly follow someone who she doesn’t agree with.

Background
Lana Tiki was born to Pilipo Tiki and Luana Williams-Tiki in Honolulu, Hawaii. As their only child they doted upon her as best they could while trying to raise her to be a good person. Strangely enough, their daughter never became a selfish brat. Perhaps because they didn’t have enough money to truly spoil her. At any rate, though Luana worked at a high class tourist hotel as a cleaning woman and Pilipo bred exotic birds. Lana would help her mother on occasion with the simpler duties of cleaning, though normally she helped her father take care of the feathered creatures. Life was peaceful for the little family.

Things changed when Lana hit puberty. Life never seems easy for the families who must raise adolescents. Hormones run haywire and verbal abuse ensues from the mouths of children who had once been perceived as cherubs for most. If only things had been so simple for the Tikis.

The first sign of something strange occurred when some of the birds began to grow antsy in the twelve-year-old’s presence. One day, while changing the food and water for some of the birds a cockatiel lunged forward and bit her wrist fairly hard, drawing a pinprick of blood. Releasing the dish, Lana quickly closed the cage door and hurried away to clean the small wound. The cockatiel went insane, bashing itself and against the bars and squawking furiously. She found herself wondering if maybe it had gotten a bad sickness when suddenly a small explosive sound filled her ears and the thrashing and crying of the bird ceased. The pre-teen hurried over to find that the food dish had exploded, killing the bird. No one could figure out after that how the thing had done so, but her parents were simply glad their daughter hadn’t had her hands in the cage during that time. However, Lana was plagued with this sense that she had done it, even by accident. She remembered a strange feeling emitting from the dish from her touch, but she could hardly hope to understand it.

As the years passed more objects had a tendency to explode without warning, especially during moments where Lana’s emotions were running strongly. They didn’t always hurt others, but there were a couple instances when the explosions caught some unlucky person or creature by accident. The young girl became more and more aware that she was the one who caused it and what it felt like when she did.

At the age of fourteen Lana learned about kinetic energy in a science class, which helped her better understand the power she had. Now that she half-realized what she was dealing with, she decided to test her knowledge. That was also the age she came up with her alias, giggling all the while as she thought about people calling her Bombshell. She kept the name.

Her mother found her blowing up bits of paper, cans, and bottles in their backyard one day and called a family meeting. They discussed this innate ability their daughter possessed. Luana reacted very badly to it, having been biased against mutants for her entire life. Her father was a bit more interested in it, but society had a way of beating ignorance into the minds of its people. Lana’s parents decided she had to stop using her powers, despite her insistence that she needed to learn how to control them so she wouldn’t hurt anyone any more. So she practiced in secret.

Any closeness she shared with her mother was diminished the day Luana discovered her daughter’s capabilities. Her father was also more distant from then on, though he tried to keep his daughter well cared for. When Lana decided to move out when she was seventeen no one stopped her. Her father gave her a good deal of money and told her if she needed anything he would help, but it was a relief to both parents that their mutant daughter would finally leave them.

She worked in a few different places after that, ranging from hotels to restaurants to animal shelters. The mutant developed a few small tendencies that could be related to obsessive-compulsive disorder, though she wasn’t consumed by them. Everything of hers had to be clean, neat, and well organized. Organization became something she excelled in.

With her free time, Lana took up some dance classes. These classes incorporated a mixture of things even if they weren’t dance related- gymnastics, martial arts, aerobics- that trained the body and kept it fit and agile. She also began to teach herself how to use a slingshot, putting her negative energies into something useful that could help her work on her aim. While she taught herself this she made sure she could charge objects that she could then shoot with her slingshot to make an even better weapon.

Lana acquired a couple scars while practicing bomb tactics where she charged objects and left them. She wanted to know how much time different objects took to explode. Depending on their sizes and material they were made out of they may take seconds or minutes. She had set up a bunker of sorts in a secluded area to leap behind after charging objects. Having never worked with glass before she thought it might be beneficial to do so this time and she brought a rather ugly glass vase with her. Setting it up on the ground, the femme charged it and bolted. She hadn’t accounted for the fact that glass might blow a bit more easily than metal, though, and she didn’t make it to the bunker in time. When she heard it shatter she had already turned to whip herself around behind the bunker and the glass flew at her, a long shard embedding itself into her shoulder, another grazing her arm, just beneath her elbow. Of course, glass hit her elsewhere, but those two wounds had required stitching.

After that she was far more careful about her powers and precautions taken to use them. She kept them under control, though, even while an emotion in her may remain strong, but she still has some difficulty controlling the charging of objects while she’s furious.

Weakness
Every so often Lana must discharge some of the energy that builds up in her static aura. The more energy built up the more powerful the weakening of other mutants’ powers, but also the less control she has over her own. Usually she’s able to do this by charging the energy in other objects, but it’s destructive so she’s been trying to find a safer way to go about it. This weakness is dangerous because she doesn’t always realise when the time comes when she needs to discharge that energy. Usually the over build-up of energy shows up in mood swings, making Lana more irritable or emotional. Unless someone specifically tells her she’s acting any differently she won’t realise that her mood is even rampant.
